In an effort to reduce weight and save space in the engine compartment, I am going to try using a non-power assisted brake master cylinder.  I obtained a MOPAR master cylinder as used on a 1969 Road Runner and modified the mounting flamge so it would bolt up to the original C1 mounting bolts.

Mounting flange modified to fit '59 master cylinder mounting holes.  The holes are tapped so that mounting bolts can be inserted from inside the driver's compartment.

The MOPAR master cylinder has residual valves under the seats.   Since my car has 4 wheel disc brakes I removed the residual valves by tapping the seat with a 6 x 32 tap and then inserting a 6-32 screw and prying the seat out.
