Instead of a vacuum operated brake booster, I am planning on using a "hydroboost" unit.  This is a brake booster that operates off of the power steering hydraulic system.  The unit shown here is from a 1987 Chevy C3500 truck.  I purchased this unit off ebay for about $25.00 just to use to make brackets and check clearances.  The blue "can" on the side of the unit is a nitrogen cannister that provides some residual braking should the engine quit.

Note: I decided to remove the hydroboost in favor of a dual manual master cylinder.
